Once upon a time, long ago, in an enchanted forest, lived a momma bear and a baby bear. Now Momma bear had always told herbaby never to go into the forest alone because surely he would get lost!!!Well baby (who hated being called a baby), decided he was grown up enoughto go discovering by himself. He started in his front yard. He watched the bluebirds, and whistled at them. Then he saw a pretty flower in the forest so he wentto see it. He thought of his mom, and how she said not to go into the forest. But, he thought, it's only a little bit into the forest, so he went. Well on that flower was a butterfly, and whata pretty butterfly it was!!! It flew off the flower and baby bear followedit. He danced and played all the way into the middle of the forest. Whenbaby bear realized he could not see his house, he got really scared!!!He started to run!!! All of the sudden, the forest got really darkand baby bear was so sad. He thought he'd never be able to go home again. He started to walk so slowly and so sadly. It was cold, and baby bear wasso tired. He saw a cave up ahead and felt like the only chance he had wasto sleep in the cave and try again in the morning. He was so hungry too. He walked inside and sat down. He thought he hearda noise. He looked off to the side and saw all these lights coming towardshim. Well, he was sure that they had to be monsters!!! He was scared!!!The lights started to talk to him, and said, "Dont be scared, babybear. We are good fairies." One of the lights got very close to babybear, and he saw that it was a little girl with wings. These fairies were used to having lost visitorsin their home, so they had extra food waiting, and an extra room with awarm bed ready. He ate his food and thought it was very good. As the fairiestucked him in, he asked them, "When will I go home?" The fairiessaid, "When the morning comes, you'll be in your own bed, in yourown home." Baby bear went right to sleep. In the morninghe woke up in his own bed. Momma bear woke up with a note that said: Baby bear was wandering free, But he ran into me, And many things he did see. Your friend, the fairies. And baby bear, though he had much fun with thefairies, never ran away from home again. The End Lauren |
