This is an excellent book written by the Troops for Trudi Chase. Written by her alters, this book allows for a unique perspective on DID. There is graphic accounts of the abuse that happened that created her dissociation, and is not for the newly diagnosed so stay safe and read it when your system is strong enough. This landmark tale of Multiple Personality is the first work that most people had ever read and learned that the world of Multipe Personality truly exists. Prism is a story about a woman, Andrea, that had a very dehabilitating form of DID. In and out of hospitals, she finally finds a therapist, Eugine Bliss, that understood that the problem with Andrea was that she had multiple personality disorder and treated it accordingly. This is a recomended book for new therapist in their intern stage. The intern came across Moria as a clinic patient, original diagnosis of histronic personality disorder. Broken Child is a story by the person that was abused and has graffic accounts of her story. This is a great story for those that the primary abuser was a female, as her mom was the one that abused her. Silencing the Voices is an inspiring story about overcoming insest and speaking out about what happened in the past. Graphic accounts of abuse are at a minimum.
This is a story of Billy Milligan, a man charged with rape. He and his therapy and law team use DID as a way to be exonerated of the charges brought before him.
