I am one of the few alters in SplitAngels that has a strong belief in Christ. We were raised in a protestant home, Nazerene to be specific. I retained the spiritual beliefs that were presented to our system.

These pages are rich in Biblical references and if Christianity isn't your thing you may want to leave. If Christianity is, Welcome!

I want to start with a few passages, the first in Psalms.

Oh Jehova, God of my salvation, I have wept before thee day and night.... for my life is full of troubles and Death is drawing near. They say my Life is ebbing out- a hopeless case. (Ps 88:1, 3-4)
From my youth i have been sickly and ready to die. I stand helpless before your terrors. Your feirce wrath has overwhelmed me, your terrors have cut me off. they flow around me all day long. Lover, friend, accquaintance- all are gone. There is only darkness everywhere. (Ps 88:15-18)

This is one of David's writings. David was Gods most favored, yet he knew pain like we do. Pain is such a part of our lives that we wonder if we were abandoned. He later says:

Oh Lord, what miricles you do!!! And how deep are your thoughts. Un thinking people do not understand them! No fool can comprehend this: That although the wicked florish like weeds, there is only eternal distruction ahead of them!(Ps 92:5-7)

God has odd ways of teaching us stuff. I believe He has a plan for everything.

"For we know that all things that happens to us is working to our own good if we love God and are fitting into His plans"(Romans 8:28)

I believe God has a plan. It is a plan that we will not know about till the end when we meet Him, but it is a plan. Maybe His plans for our lives is to offer hope and support for other survivors, maybe to offer words of encouragement. we will learn some day.

People often object to our speaking out. Our abusers demand that we remove the content of our personal story. Paul had that problem, his persecutors DEMANDED him to stop spreading the word. So,
"One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision and told him, 'Don't be afraid! Speak out! Don't quit!'" (Acts 18:9)

There is a basic theme to our pages, Pain. I would like to conclude (for now) with this passage:
For much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears but that you might know the love I have more abundantly unto you. (2 Corinthians 2:4)

Passages are taken from the Living Bible, with the exception of 2 Corinthians 2:4 which was taken from the King James Bible.
